Northeast ASCD Affiliate Conference

After October 31 the conference can not accept cancellations or provide refunds.

Hotels require guarantees for hotel rooms, meals etc.  These guarantees
are required 30 days prior to the event; holding us liable for 100% of the
costs whether individuals show up or not.

In addition, our presenters are of the highest quality and are nationally
recognized.  Their fees are considerable.  Again, 30 days prior to
the event the conference coordinators must decide whether to cancel a
speaker/presentation due to lack of participation. Speakers receives their fee
whether one or 100 participants attend.

At that 30 day window all of these expenses are guaranteed based on
enrollments.  The conference will be liable for all of the guaranteed
costs. 

As a result the cancellation and refund policy is written to ensure the
conference will be able to provide the very best to NE educators.  NE
educators have come to depend on this conference's quality.

While we recognize the difficult times districts and states are experiencing,
we still have a conference to put on with significant expenditures. 

I hope your district will reconsider its position and send all of your
participants as the district will be billed for the participants’ registrations
should they attend or not.
